The goal of the Institute is to promote preventive medicine and a healthy lifestyle, life stability, physical culture, recreation and sport, as well as to protect and promote health, ecology and, above all, education in these areas. The task of the Institute of Preventive Medicine is to carry out extensive activities in the field of preventive medicine as well as showing the society the threats that the 21st century brings.
The activities of the Institute are based on national and international activities, independent and undisputed scientific and ethical authorities.
The basis for the development of the Institute’s strategy was the model of the holistic determinant of health created by Blum and Loland and the Lalond Report published in 1974. (A New Prospective on the Health of Canadians, a working document.)
